It's December! It seems crazy that we are almost done with 2014 already!
This week we'll be continuing working with cause and effect. We're done with our Santa letters and our book is being sent off to the publisher! If you haven't sent back your order form for the book yet, please do! Even if you do NOT want the book, we need the form back marked NO and signed so we can get a free copy of the book for our class.
Be sure to check your child's newsletter this week... there's information about our class Christmas stockings on the back!

This Week- November 17-21
Happy Monday! We have a busy week ahead... tonight is family game night at Riverside from 5:30-7:00pm and, in class, we're writing letters to Santa that will be published in a book (more details to come!), we have our field trip on Wednesday to see "Little Red Riding Hood" performed as an opera, and we have our last spelling test before Thanksgiving break.
Next week, we'll have a read-in on Tuesday morning and enjoy a movie in the afternoon. Your child can bring a blanket, pillow, etc... for the read-in!

Letters {Kid Post}
We are learning about letters and, if you ask me, I think we are doing great! Good thing we have Ms. Bainbridge or else we would not be that good! (Awww... thanks, Bella!) Do you like letters? Because I do!

Letter Writing {Kid Post}
We are starting to learn to write letter writings in ELA. We have a song which it says... Date, Greeting, Body, Closing, Name, Closing, Name! Date, Greeting, Body, Closing, Name, Closing, Name! When you write a friendly letter, it always looks the same, Date, Greeting, Body, Closing, Name, Closing, Name! And that song goes to the tune of "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes".
We are having a blast doing it so ask your child about who they are writing to. You can write to people that are non-fiction and fiction and every day at least 5 or 6 kids get to share their letter writing. So ask your child about their letter writings!
